French Alps, Provence & Paris
Take a trip that guarantees “FUN”. Waking up in the middle of the French Alps is glorious, but stepping out for an adventurous hike is full of surprises. You will be amazed at the diversity within this region – ice-covered slopes, wild flowered meadows, grazing cattle, and stark rock formations are all part of the many hiking trails embedded in this beautiful mountainous town. A typical day hike will include an assent to the top of The Aiguille du Midi amongst the glaciers. Then we will descend through the snow line to the valley floor with the towering alps and their panoramic views.
Bicycling is included in this trip, as we journey through the French Countryside, alongside mountain lakes and then into the vineyards of the Rhone Valley.
France is known for the wonderful wines of this region, and we will be stopping to taste the many varietals in the little villages that we trek through on our adventure. Each of these unique villages have incredible cuisine to accompany the fine wines.
There isn’t a better way to experience the culture of a country then to shop in the outdoor markets filled with local goods and food. We will indulge in the fine delicacies of these markets, enjoying the special flair that is unique to each market.
History abounds in Europe, and France has an abundant of fascinating historical sites that we will be able to experience along the way to Paris. Our trip will focus on the small towns and cities that make France the destination everyone enjoys.
