Adventure in Greece

We fly into Athens. Once there we will take the ferry to the Greek island of Mykonos, and stroll through the narrow white-washed alleyways, and enjoy the majestic sea views while relaxing on the beaches.

Our next stop will be Naxos. This Greek island is in the south Aegean, the largest of the Cyclades island group. Its fertile landscape spans mountain villages, ancient ruins and long stretches of beach, and is one of the most beautiful Greek islands!

Santorini is also one of the Cyclades islands. It was devastated by a volcanic eruption in the 16th century B.C., forever shaping its rugged landscape. The whitewashed, candy-colored houses carved into cliffs, sapphire waters, and chalk-white buildings topped with cobalt-blue domes are one of the world’s most famous sights. Fira and Oia cling to cliffs above an underwater caldera (crater) and overlook the sea, small islands to the west and beaches made up of black, red and white lava pebbles.

Finally, we fly back to Athens for one afternoon and evening. Athens is the modern capital of Greece, and also the heart of Ancient Greece and the classical world, a powerful civilization and empire before Rome. The city is still dominated by 5th-century B.C. landmarks, including the Acropolis, a hilltop citadel topped with ancient buildings like the colonnaded Parthenon temple. We will visit the Acropolis, then dine and shop in the Plaka, the historic neighborhood located at the base of the hill topped by the Acropolis.
