Hawaiian Islands, Maui

The Hawaiian Islands are one of my favorite destinations.  The Islands offer so many activities for anyone at any age.  A moderate five hour flight compared to all day travel to the Caribbean lands you in this tropical paradise.  There are a few islands to choose from but Maui is probably my favorite.   It doesn’t have the big city atmosphere of Honolulu Oahu, or the very quite, like to be alone feeling of Kauai.  Maui offers the small towns with plenty of tropical hide away places and white sand beaches.  We will do some great shore diving off the west coast.  Up north the diving area offers shore diving into lava tubes and caves, at Black Rock in Kaanapali there is an abundance of sea life for day and night diving.  Turtles, morays and octopus are just some of the life you can see.  If you dive the lower west shore by Makena, the five graves and Turtle Cove guarantee your dive with the turtles and an occasional dolphin.  We also will take some dive boats out to the many dive sites that will make any dive adventure memorable.  Molokini is a crater that has a shallow side with many fish and a backside with a wall for your deep dive experience.  Here Barracuda and sharks are common visitors waiting to come into your camera’s view. There are other dive excursions that offer many other unique diving experiences.

In addition to the diving, Maui has hiking through bamboo and tropical rain forest, bicycle riding down the Haleakala volcano, whale watching, sailing and snorkeling.  The little towns of Hana, Wailea and Lahaina have shopping, great restaurants and of course there is always a Luau.
